Dr. Houghton was born on March 11, 1946 and passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2017.

Dr. Houghton was a resident of Amarillo, Texas at the time of passing.

He was a '64 graduate of Amarillo High School, and earned a Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston in 1971.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 8, at Polk Street United Methodist Church with Pastor Burt Palmer officiating.

Preparations are being handled by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. In lieu of flowers, the family requests his memory be honored with donations to Snack Pak 4 Kids and PSUMC's Nehemiah Project.
