George was born on December 31, 1937 and passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018.

George was a resident of Amarillo, Texas at the time of passing.

He graduated from Brackenridge High School and received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Wayland Baptist University before serving in the Navy for ten years and the Army Reserve for twenty years.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5401 Bell St., with Bishop Lewis Britt officiating. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation at the Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM on January 9, 2018. Tuesday January 9, 2018 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel 4100 South Georgia Amarillo, TX 79110 January 10, 2018 2:00 PM The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 5401 Bell St. Amarillo, TX 79109 Visitation at the Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM on January 9, 2018.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Boy Scouts of America, 401 Tascosa Rd., Amarillo, TX 79124.
